IAEA Skill and Training Centre — Theory Meets Practice (Praxis)

IAEA believes that adult education must go beyond theory: it must build practical skills that empower individuals economically and socially. Through the IAEA Skill and Training Centre, has partnered with public and private agencies to impart vocational and livelihood-oriented training to adults in adopted communities. Courses such as cutting and tailoring (among other relevant trades) are offered to help community members — especially women and under-privileged adults — acquire employable skills. By combining literacy, awareness, and practical skill-training, IAEA aims to enhance employability, foster self-reliance, and promote sustainable livelihoods — thereby making adult education a tool for real-life transformation, not just enlightenment.
