Evaluation and Important Studies
IAEA is an empanelled evaluation agency with the National Literacy Mission Authority, Bihar State Planning Board, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Bihar, Bihar Education Project, and Jharkhand Education Project Council. Over the years, it has successfully conducted 64 external evaluations covering a wide range of literacy and educational development initiatives such as Total Literacy Campaigns, Post Literacy Programmes, Continuing Education Programmes, Jan Shikshan Sansthans, State Resource Centres, Population and Development Education Programmes, Impact of Literacy Campaigns in Haryana, and a diagnostic study on Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in Katihar district of Bihar. Significant projects also include the evaluation of Edusat National Network Utilization by the Consortium for Educational Communication/University Grants Commission assigned by DECU–ISRO, Ahmedabad, and a situational analysis of Parent Teacher Associations in MCD-recognized primary schools in Rohini Zone, Delhi commissioned by the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Among its major recent studies are: a 2024 study to understand the impact of communication campaigns by the Delhi Government (Planning Department, GNCTD); a 2021 skill mapping study in JJ clusters of East Delhi (Directorate of Economics and Statistics, GNCTD); evaluation of recreation centres for senior citizens in Delhi (Planning Department, GNCTD, 2020); an impact study on awareness and education campaigns for prevention of drug abuse and alcoholism organized by Nehru Yuva Kendras in Manipur and Punjab (Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, GoI, 2014); a situational analysis of Parent Teacher Associations in MCD primary schools, Rohini Zone, Delhi (DCPCR, 2011); and a 2008 study on Edusat National Network utilization by CEC/UGC assigned by DECU, ISRO, Ahmedabad.
