Call for Papers
The Indian Journal of Adult Education (IJAE) invites original and unpublished manuscripts
for its forthcoming issue. Since 1939, the journal has served as a distinguished platform
for disseminating scholarly research, policy analysis, innovative practices, and critical
perspectives in the field of Adult Education, Lifelong Learning, Continuing Education,
Community Development, Skill Development, and allied disciplines. The journal is published
twice a year and follows a rigorous peer-review process.
Researchers, academicians, policymakers, practitioners, doctoral scholars, and
professionals from India and abroad are encouraged to contribute their original work.

Important Guidelines for Authors
1. Originality
The manuscript must be original and should not have been published or simultaneously
submitted elsewhere.
2. Language
Papers should be written in clear and scholarly English. Authors are advised to ensure
proper grammar and language editing before submission.
3. Manuscript Length
- Research Articles: Approximately 4,000–8,000 words
- Review Articles: 3,000–6,000 words
- Book Reviews: 800–1,500 words
4. Abstract
Include an abstract of 200–250 words along with 4–6 keywords.
5. Formatting
- MS Word format (.doc/.docx)
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 pt
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides
6. Referencing Style
References and in-text citations should follow the latest APA Style guidelines. Authors
are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all citations.
7. Tables and Figures
- Number tables and figures consecutively.
- Provide appropriate titles and source acknowledgements where applicable.
- Images should be of high resolution.
8. Ethical Standards
Authors must ensure that:
- The work is entirely original.
- Proper acknowledgment is given to all sources.
- The manuscript is free from plagiarism.
- Any conflict of interest is disclosed.
9. Peer Review
All manuscripts will undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind
peer-review process. The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request
revisions.
10. Copyright
Upon acceptance, authors may be required to submit a copyright declaration as per the
journal's publication policy.

- Tables and figures are properly numbered.
- The manuscript has been proofread.
- Author details are provided separately if required for blind review.
